- You must be a U.S. or Naturalized Citizen.
- Complete a passport application from the Register of Deeds office in the Courthouse or from the Travel.State.Gov website. The application must be completed in black ink only.
- Proof of citizenship in the form of a birth certificate or naturalization certificate must accompany the application. It will be returned with the passport.
- Requires 1 passport photo taken within the last six months.
- You must show valid driver’s license or a Michigan State I.D.
- Routine service for passports now takes 10-13 weeks.
- Expedited service for passports takes 7-9 weeks.

Cost for U.S. Passport book renewal:

Minor’s Passport Card-Under Age 16:
1. $15.00 made payable to: US Dept. of State
2. $35.00 made payable to: Delta County Register of Deeds
Cost for Passport Card for Passport book holders:
