Organization
Wells Township was organized in 1889. The first elected positions occurred later that year on April 7th, 1889. It currently has seven members elected to it’s Board; Supervisor, Clerk, Treasure, and four Trustees. The Board of Trustees appoints the members to the board of review.
Demographics
The Township encompasses approximately 39.8 sq mi. The average elevation is 699 ft. The 2010 census totaled the population of the Township at 4885 people.
