The MDS-CAA Rock Area Senior Center
The MDS-CAA Rock Area Senior Center provides home-delivered meals, homemaker aide services and personal care for the home-bound, as well as daily congregate meals at the Center, Medicare counseling, home heating assistance, commodity foods, tax credit preparation assistance and other programs to the Rock, Perkins and Cornell area Senior population.
The Center also administers wellness, social & educational activities for our area Senior Citizens. These include bus trips, free exercise classes, bingo, computer internet access, a lending library and guest speakers who present topics such as elder estate planning, diabetes, healthy cooking, shingles and identity theft.

“Veterans Serving Veterans”
Meetings: Second Monday of each Month at 7:00 p.m. at the Rock Lions Club
Activities/Services include:
- Sponsoring the local Punt, Pass and Kick Competition
- Presentation of the colors at all Mid Pen Varsity Home games
- Presenting the Memorial Day Program each year at the Rock Cemetery
- Hosting the Flag Day Ceremony in front of the Veterans Memorial at the Park in Rock
- Taking part in the Veterans Day Program at the Mid Pen School along with the students
- Stand as Honor Guard and perform a ceremony for funerals of deceased members.
- Sponsorship of Junior Boys to Boys State each summer
- Assist the Lions Club with their Labor Day Celebration
- Make monetary donations within the community
- Assist fellow veterans with the coordination of veteran benefits
Fund Raiser: The St. Patty’s Day Pancake Breakfast held the weekend closest to St. Patrick’s Day at the Rock Lions Club.

- Stand as Honor Guard and perform a ceremony for funerals of deceased members
- Support the Lions Club and other groups in the community as needed
Fund Raisers: Annual Poppy Sale in the spring and Annual Raffle held each November
Rock Lions Club
“We Serve”
The Rock Lions Club, serving individuals, groups and charities in Rock, Delta County, the Upper Peninsula and abroad holds their meetings on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at the Rock Lions Clubhouse located on M-35 north of Rock.
Supporting eye health and The Leader Dogs for the Blind are just two of the many programs the Club participates in.
Fundraisers of the Rock Lions Club include the Annual Rock Labor Day Parade and Festivities held the Saturday before Labor Day and their monthly Breakfast held the second Sunday of each month
