This 80-acre park is just off US Highway 41 in northern Delta County. The developed part of the park is located on Rapid River at the base of several small rapids created from limestone shelves. County residents use Rapid River Falls Park for picnics, gatherings, and outdoor weddings. This exceptionally beautiful setting is great for fall color photography along the river. This park is also used by travelers along the highway as a rest stop between Escanaba and Marquette.
A large part of the park is undeveloped. There are great examples of karst topography easy seen on the surface. There are underground rivers, sinkholes, and springs that can be explored. Be cautious if exploring the undeveloped areas of this park.
